Droop in Pressure Regulator Valves

Droop in the pressure regulator valves (self acting regulator valve) can be understand as deviation from the set pressure of valves. For example, if the set pressure is 5 psig maintain downstream pressure, but the actual pressure downstream of the valve is 3 psig. Droop phenomena usually happen at high flow rate or maximum case of the valve sizing since the pressure will be significantly drop with the increase of flow rate
